Please note that minor differences in colour, printing and placement of the print are not considered defects, but are part of the intrinsic hand made and hand printed nature of our products and are what makes each piece special.
Products & Care
Most of our products are stitched in-house by our small team of tailors in the Safomasi studio in New Delhi, India.
Our fabric is hand screen printed by a family run workshop in the nearby city of Noida. Rugs are hand tufted and hand woven in Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh. We work with local artisans in Delhi for specialist skills like hand quilting.
A special mention goes Maninder's grandmother (and friends) who made the to the fabric covered pom poms in the Pushkar Collection from their village on the outskirts of Panipat.
All our products are hand printed and hand made should be looked after with love. Please check the product label and Materials & Care tab on the product page for specific instructions.
If you are hand or machine washing products we recommend you use a non-biological detergent with no optical whiteners, bleaching agents or enzymes as these can cause colours to fade or become patchy.
All our fabrics are 100% natural and printed with water based inks. As with all natural fabrics, they may fade over time. To prevent UV damage, keep out of harsh sunlight and use a good quality lining for curtains and blinds.
Our cushion covers are standard sizes and fillers are readily available to buy online and in local stores.
If you can't find the exact size or if you want to make sure the cushion looks plump, we recommend purchasing a size slightly bigger than the cover.
We don't supply our bean bags filled as we can't offer a competitive price with shipping, however polystyrene bean bag filler is readily available online on Amazon, in shops such as Dunelm or Argos, or local home stores in your country.
Bean filler can be bought virgin or recycled and can be revived over the years with an occasional top up of more filler. It can also be recycled, however an alternative is eco-friendly Biofoam beans which are not widely available but can be found online.
Regular size bean bags need approx. 10-11 cubic feet or 2-2.5 kg of bean filler.
Junior size bean bags need approx. 4-5 cubic feet or 1kg of bean filler.
For more advice check out our bean bag guide or get in touch on hello@safomasi.com
Yes, where possible we're happy to custom make products for you. We can make all our rugs and many of our products in custom sizes. Depending on the product we can also customise the combination of prints, finishes and colours, although a minimum order may apply. Where customisation is possible the product page will show a 'customise' button. Click on this to send a message with your enquiry, read more on our bespoke page here, or email us on hello@safomasi.com.
Fabric Swatches
Our screen printed fabrics are produced in small batches. The inks are mixed by hand so colours may vary slightly between batches and the swatch you receive may not be an exact match of fabric you order at a later date.
From time to time we change our base fabrics and the price per metre may change to reflect this. We always try and send up-to-date swatches on the latest base fabric, however if this is not possible (for example, if the design is low on stock or printed to order), we will send a swatch on previous fabric as a reference for the print, and a cutting of the new base fabric as reference for the fabric, and inform you of this prior to dispatch.
We occasionally retire designs and cannot guarantee that fabric swatches you receive will be available to order by the metre at a later date.
Fabric by the metre
All fabrics are shipped folded.
We endeavour to send fabric as one continuous length, however if this is not possible we will contact you to discuss the lengths available prior to shipping and confirming your order.
Repeat dimensions are approximate and may vary slightly due to the handprinted nature of our fabrics.
FR Rating & Treatments
None of our fabrics have been fire treated. All our fabrics are 100% natural fibres, and whilst some have Cigarette Test certificates most are Not Rated.
If you require FR treatment we can ship directly to a third party provider on your instruction. No liability will be accepted for changes in appearance, performance, or defects in any of our fabrics if they are treated after purchase by applying or processing of any kind, including flame proofing or the application of stain repelling treatments.

We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours and images of products on this site, however colour representation varies from monitor to monitor and we cannot guarantee that your computer monitor's display of any colour will be accurate, so there may be a slight variation from what you see on screen to the actual product you receive.
Due to our large scale pattern repeats and the hand printed and hand made nature of our products, print variations may occur and the crop of the pattern will vary from product to product and may be slightly different to the image. These add to the characteristics of each product and is part of what makes every single Safomasi product special and unique.
We make every effort to ensure all products are in stock and up to date, but in the unlikely event that we do not have your chosen product we will contact you and offer either a refund, exchange or later delivery if possible.
Orders cancelled within 12 hours of being placed are entitled to a full refund. Please email hello@safomasi.com if you wish to cancel your order and we will issue the refund immediately. Please allow a few days for the refund to be reflected in your bank statement. Please note that after this 12 hour period we are unable to cancel orders for products that are made to order or bespoke, nor orders that have already shipped.
We reserve the right to cancel an order in case of pricing or other technical errors. We shall not be liable to you or to any third-party for any modification, price change, suspension or discontinuance of the Service.
We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to limit the sales of our products or Services to any person, geographic region or jurisdiction. We may exercise this right on a case-by-case basis.
We reserve the right to limit the quantities of any products or services that we offer. We reserve the right to refuse any order you place with us. We may, in our sole discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household or per order. These restrictions may include orders placed by or under the same customer account, the same credit card, and/or orders that use the same billing and/or shipping address. In the event that we make a change to or cancel an order, we may attempt to notify you by contacting the e‑mail and/or billing address/phone number provided at the time the order was made. We reserve the right to limit or prohibit orders that, in our sole judgment, appear to be placed by dealers, resellers or distributors.
You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made at our store. You agree to promptly update your account and other information, including your email address and credit card numbers and expiration dates, so that we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed.
All goods are supplied by us on condition that our liability for any fault or defect in the quality, condition, description or fitness for any purpose, is limited in amount to a sum not exceeding the purchase price of the particular goods. In no circumstances whatsoever shall the company be liable for indirect or consequential loss or damage.

Your use of the Service constitutes your agreement to these terms and conditions (“Mobile Terms”). We may modify or cancel the Service or any of its features without notice. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we may also modify these Mobile Terms at any time and your continued use of the Service following the effective date of any such changes shall constitute your acceptance of such changes.

Message frequency varies.
Click the unsubscribe link in any text message to cancel at any time. You'll receive a one-time opt-out confirmation text message. For Service support or assistance, text HELP or email hello@safomasi.com .
We may change any short code or telephone number we use to operate the Service at any time and will notify you of these changes. You acknowledge that any messages, including any STOP or HELP requests, you send to a short code or telephone number we have changed may not be received and we will not be responsible for honouring requests made in such messages.
The wireless carriers supported by the Service are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. You agree to provide us with a valid mobile number.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree that we will not be liable for failed, delayed, or misdirected delivery of any information sent through the Service, any errors in such information, and/or any action you may or may not take in reliance on the information or Service.

We reserve the right to terminate your use of the Service or any related website for violating any of the prohibited uses.
