ELLE Deco International Design Award Winners - India 2016

We’re so excited to have won in the ELLE Deco International Design Award, India 2016 in the Fabrics Category for our Woven Kawaii collection. It’s such an honour to win again, 3 years after our first award for our Camel Traders bedding in 2013.

The Woven Kawaii Collection is a capsule collection comprising of Peace Hands, Crane and Festival, three designs from our Japanese inspired Kawaii collection. Originally hand screen printed, the patterns have been re-interpreted and woven on a jacquard loom to create double-sided cotton fabric that can be used from both sides, with the inverse of the design showing on the back.

One of our favourite new launches this year, we couldn’t be happier with how they’ve turned out, the cushions and throws are a soft and subtle way to introduce a touch of playful pattern into your living or bedroom whilst the fabric is perfect for upholstery – scroll through our instagram feed to see the Peace Hands sofa we have at home.

Grey Peace Hands Woven Throw and Cushion

Inspired by the popular craze in Japan to make the peace sign when taking photos, this fun and playful pattern, woven in a neutral grey, would suit a contemporary, monochrome or minimal interior.

Coral Crane Woven Throw and Cushion

Inspired by the traditional Japanese belief that a string of 1000 origami cranes will bring good luck, the geometric design will complement a range of styles.

Blue Festival Woven Throw and Cushion

A complex pattern made up of a medley of characters spotted at Festive processions mixed with traditional Japanese textile motifs. Unique with a beautiful narrative.

Each of the designs from the Woven Kawaii collection are available as throws, cushions and fabric by the metre.

Thank you to ELLE Decor India for all the support over the years, we’re so thankful for our second ELLE Deco Award!
