River Journey Woven Wall Hanging

Handwoven in warm tones this textural woven wall hanging tells the story of travels through the mountains.

The second in a three part series of woven artworks inspired by the journey north from Delhi to the Himalayas, the River Journey Woven Wall Hanging illustrates approaching river crossings at dusk as you head deeper into the mountains. As the sun sets, the sky is lit up with a warm peachy hue. 

Handwoven in wool using the same technique as our flatweave dhurrie rugs, it is designed to create a stunning textural statement displayed on its own or alongside other artworks in the series.

Small hanging tabs are hand sewn onto the back and it is supplied with a wooden rod and cord that can be tied to adjust the hanging height. However, should you wish you could also remove the rod and use it as a small floor rug.
